About the Marlow Community Choir at Borlase
The Marlow Community Choir at Borlase (MCCaB) is a highly successful community outreach initiative of Sir William Borlase's Grammar School, with Performing Arts College status.
our inspirational and dynamic Director of Music,
Gillian has great expertise and experience of leading and developing choral works.
She uses her skills and leadership qualities to coax the best out of our choir members thereby ensuring our concerts are performed to a high standard despite the disparate abilities of our members
Where
and When
We meet at Borlase Grammar School on Wednesdays at 7:30pm during school term dates for vocal training and rehearsals to achieve concert performance standard. The "Key Dates" link shows our current schedule of rehearsals and concerts
Activities
We provide excellent training in choral music and vocal technique for singing in mixed, 4-part (SATB) (and on occasion 8 part ) choirs,
We work on a set of projects targetted towards a Winter and Summer concert performance to round off each Term.
Take a look at our list of recent works for a feel for
the type of work we perform
Our concerts usually include supporting performances from professional soloists and a full orchestra.
We
perform these in local inspiring locations and they are very well
received and attended
